Fuckin' Chinese Democracy actually came out today.  I didn't believe it until the cashier handed me my bagged copy.

So Dr Pepper has manned up and made good on their 'free serve' of Dr Pepper for everyone in America.

Unfortunately their servers haven't...

...or their phone lines.

Is there ever going to be another episode of the Half Hour Power Hour? 

This is a question that I ask myself from time to time.  Every so often Rick and I will talk about it and we both think that we've got another one left in the tank somewhere.  Knowing that it's been a couple of years I think since we've produced an episode we've joked, "Hey, how about we'll put out a show when Axl Roses finally releases Chinese Democracy."

If Billboard and Best Buy are to believed, then we'll gladly be putting out a new show on Nov 25th.  So along with your new copy of Chinese Democracy and your free Dr. Pepper (who promised to give away a free can to everyone in America if Axl releases the album in 2008) you'll also get to enjoy a brand spankin' new episode of HHPH.

We'll catch up on what's happened since last time.  Have a laugh or two and talk pr0n, booze and who knows what else at least one more time.

Hi folks!  I've been away on vacation.  Beth and I just returned from Chicago earlier this weekend.  Rest assured that we'll actually have plenty to talk about real soon.

I don't post this kind of thing very often but as longtime listeners of the show already know, I'm a longtime Chicago Cubs fan.  I grew up watching them as a child on WGN and have always been a fan, despite many many years of sucktitude.  When I met Beth a few years ago I was pleased to learn that I had something in common with her father, that being a love for baseball.  Ironically enough, it turns out that her dad is a Chicago White Sox fan and an adamant Cub hater.  I never realized there was this much animosity between the two teams as a kid, seeing as how the clubs are in separate leagues and never played each other in those days.  When the White Sox won the World Series a couple of years ago, Beth's dad made sit and watch the entire 5 hour parade celebration on VHS with him.  Fast forward to today where so far this season the Cubs have beaten the Sox four out of five games.  Watching the game earlier today I finally started to notice the difference between Cub fans and Sox fans and luckily enough, thanks to the power of the internets, someone on YouTube! has also.  (god damn that was a rambling setup just for a youtube clip)

I don't know what the fuck is going on with Libsyn but I've uploaded and created a post for 6-20's episode.  I'll try to fuck with it later and see if I can get the god damned post to show up.  I've had to resort to editing an old post to see if I can push an update out.  Nice job Libsyn, you've been doing this over 2 years now?

BOB BARKERS FINAL BOW

It's amazing to think that Bob Barker had hosted "The Price is Right" longer than I've been alive.  I'm saddened that I'll have never had the chance to make the pilgrimage to California to go to a taping featuring Bob.

Way back in episode 5 of our original run we did a show themed around game shows and of course, featured Bob Barker in our own twisted way. (thanks Jimmy Kimmel)  I still laugh when I hear Bob get bleeped.

I hope you all are as excited as we are.  We've changed up our taping style a bit.  Instead of recording segments that are then put into an episode, we now just let the tape roll, cut it at 30 minutes and pick up the next episode from that point.  Aside from that it's still the HHPH you've come to know and love.

I know that there are quite a few of you that are asking when the next episode will be.  I talked to Rick a weekend ago and we'll be hitting the studio again really soon.  Hopefully before Thanksgiving if everything falls into place.  We have a few ideas in place but a couple of them we can't do yet due to what we need isn't available in stores just yet.  Anyways we should have a full show booked up by then so get your finest bottles o'bourbon ready and we'll see you soon.

RL issues creeping up this week.  New show will be up next week followed by the explosive 50th episode the week after that.  CR

The new hardware is here and installed.  All important data has been restored.  Our batteries are recharged and we'll start taping again this weekend.  See you May 10th.

Pardon the douchey Megadeth reference.  Just a quick status update here.  Sadly Cerebro as we knew it is no longer with us.  I've had to replace a couple of things and spent the majority of today reinstalling and updating Windows drivers and bla-bla-bla.  Everything has gone very smoothly, which worries me.  Normally I have fucked something up royally by this stage.

Rick and I should resume taping either next weekend or the following.  We'll probably have a couple of minor changes to the show format, but we've got a couple of good ideas for our upcoming stuff, which we'll go ahead and start calling it HHPH season two.
